thirty-four; heroes? what's that?

[Filtered to teachers:]

Kind of an odd question, but does anyone know if we're going to have another retreat this year? I'm afraid I came in kind of late or I missed the news or something like that. I know it's a ways off, but... [ He's so boredddddd. ]

I think my cat got into my journal. It feels... different somehow. Lighter, perhaps? I don't think Raphael would be able to rip pages or anything like that, but short of that... I'll see if I can't figure it out. Has anyone else had this happen?

Can I ask you something?

Oh, that must be vair relaxing. No hunting poodles or eating his lead or anything.

[That is the LEAST strange thing she has said, Tobi]

Blimey, they can wear out? You'd think it'd at least come with a warning for that.

Oohh. I feel a headache coming on. Hogwarts should really just get with the times, and use Facebook.

[Ohhh, one of those wizardy types who didn't know anything about muggles. It was really a public service to assist them. She felt all benevolent, like Mother Teresa with lipgloss on.]

It's...sort of like the journals but for muggles. And you can find almost any other muggle on it. Except for swots and ancient people like parents.

But of course, you need a computer for it, which, quelle surprise, doesn't work at Hogwarts.

But journals aren't much use if you lose them, are they? Or if they wear out. Or cause it to rain in your house.

Professor, rest assured, using my mobile to go on the internet about England is a loooot less peculiar than carrying my journal hither and thither, to and fro. There are just a few tiny places that it doesn't work, which is just a shame, honestly.

It is to my muggle mates. And I am quite certain that 99.99% of everyone who is anyone has a mobile. Fat chance a journal is going to tell me the vair vair important things in life.
