eight; TRIP AND HOMEWORK

Well, it certainly took me a while to find my journal, didn't it? I wish I knew how it got in the lake in the first place, but...

In any case, I'd like to remind my students that my lovely Teaching Assistant has dutifully posted the requirements for your next assignment. Remember to hand it in on the 15th, which is the day before the next field trip, so it should be easy to remember!

Speaking of field trips, I'll be joining you all as chaperon, since I know my way around the Ministry. We hardly got any field trips back in my days at Hogwarts, so be sure to make the best of it!

Why do we have to go by train, though? I-I wanted to meet you all there, but Dumbledore said that the train ride was "part of the fun." I'd rather that than the Knight Bus, that's for sure, but... None of you will mind if I pass out, right?

It's my first time chaperoning a big event like this, should I be worried?

Do you not like trains, Mister?

You don't have to be worried, but you're gonna have your hands full.

I've been on them and nothing's ever happened! I don't think it's anything to be scared of...

'Your lovely Teaching Assistant'?

[identity profile] zealotringly.livejournal.com 2010-03-09 04:20 am (UTC)(link)
N-- No, it's all right. I was just confused because... unless I got transferred over to you without me knowing, Maron is your assistant, not me.

Although if you would like to use the same homework layout, I have no problems with sharing it with you.

Yeah, but there's no guarantee you're gonna get all Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs on the trip.

The Ravenclaws are fine.. It's the Slytherins that are trouble.

It'll be more interesting than the field trip to St. Mungos, that's for sure.

...Pass out?

[identity profile] zealotringly.livejournal.com 2010-03-09 04:28 am (UTC)(link)
My apologizes. I was actually the one who posted the homework incorrectly. It only served to confuse everyone. In any case, I can stop by and bring it to you.

If that is what you wish.

You'll probably get your own group of kids to watch over. This is gonna be a big thing and a lot of us are going.

Eh.. Twelve, I think.

[identity profile] lonelyfall.livejournal.com 2010-03-09 04:39 am (UTC)(link)
That does sound rather boring. You didn't do anything else there?

And how is that better?

Your travels in the storm may be the cause for your loss.

The creatures were well in the lake. No more displaced than the rest of Hogwart's population.

I don't think so! Not that I can think of...

I think so.

If they are displeased, Hogwarts would feel it. They are a part of Hogwarts as the forest and its creatures are.

Ironic?... Dangerous? You're kidding right? I'd be more worried of what'd happen while unconscious because of the people than just how 'dangerous' the train is.

As long as you keep an eye on the kids you're in charge of, there shouldn't be any problems.

[identity profile] lonelyfall.livejournal.com 2010-03-09 09:55 pm (UTC)(link)
D-Don't think about it! If you get motion sick just, uh, find something else to do on the train.

Reading a book might help! It'd keep your mind off everything... And you'd be awake too.

[And Castiel's lack of response is as good of "Obviously" as any.]

Either that or they'll choose to go off and explore somewhere they shouldn't. But there should be enough staff around to keep an eye on them. At least there's less chance of mishap with the train than apparating or floo.

Oww, painful whatever method you use by the sounds of it.

True enough. Still, when it comes to looking after kids, you always think of everything that could go wrong. I know I was stressing last year there would be a mishap when we travelled via portkey for a trip.

Still, if we must we must, we're to set an example to the kids after all.

Doesn't seem any methods are without some risk, but hey, better to try than live in doubt right?

Well, you may be surprised what you can do if you really need to, even facing fear.
