Well, summer is well underway and already I'm back at Hogwarts. The kittens Castiel found are indeed a bit... lively. Mine won't stop biting me; I had to tear off a bit of an old robe and give it to him to nibble on, but it looks it's going to take a while to train this out of him. And I don't know the first thing about cats, really. How do you train cats?

I'm actually a little worried that he might not get along well with Anna, my owl. She's possessive of me enough already, if I take a kitten home, she might attack. Am I that bad with animals? If that happens... I suppose I'm going to have to keep them separated.

Castiel. Raphael was... Am I remembering this correctly? Didn't you say Raphael was the name of the brother who killed you? Why would you name a cat after him!? And why would you give him to me!??

Is there something you aren't telling me? We need to talk about this! Now that I'm in Hogwarts, I'd like to deal with this in person, if possible.

"In a way, it's been nice to have the castle to ourselves. It's given me a chance to get settled in."

She glanced at Spencer and smiled, then turned back to Thobari.

"But I am looking forward to meeting everyone at the teachers' retreat."

He blushed slightly at the thought.

"Kate has actually been very helpful on my case..."

"I don't know how much help I've been really..."

She nudged Spencer gently.

"Spencer's been helping me with a cold case of my own. He's been a huge help."

"I see." Thobari smiled, that is, before the kitten bit him again.

"Perhaps I should see if I can get this guy somewhere to rest. He's probably tired, on top of being so grouchy." Yeah, Thobari can read the mood.

He looked down at the cat. It hissed at him again. Yeah, definitely time for him to lay down.

"Though it could be longer if this guy's mood doesn't improve."

She felt something rub against her leg, and looked down to see Descartes. She scooped him up.

Thobari sighed, tucking the cat up to his chest again.

"Yes, I think I'll head back now."
